UC San Diego is proud to celebrate our 11th annual International Education Week. International Education Week (IEW) is an opportunity to celebrate world cultures, people, and language while affirming the critical role that international exchange and education plays in fostering mutual understanding.
Inaugurated by President Clinton in 2000, IEW is a joint initiative by the US Department of State and the Department of Education. IEW is celebrated annually in more than 100 countries across the world to symbolize the importance of cross-cultural learning.
How will you celebrate International Education Week?
Go Global by sharing your cultural heritage, exploring international career paths, screening short international films, competing in a soccer match, or expanding your horizons by attending TEDxUCSD. IEW is an opportunity to celebrate the rich variety of campus cultures through a week full of dynamic events!
